we have a group of 12 going at thanksgiving, ages ranging from 4 to 67.everyone but me has never been to WDW what will it be like that time of the year?

Hi, John!  It will be quite crowded during Thanksgiving, but no less magical!

Prioritize the things you don't want to miss.  Make sure you get Fast Passes for the things that are an absolute must.  Always have a Fast Pass in waiting, so when your window opens up for the one in hand, go get one for the next attraction.

If you are staying at a Walt Disney World resort, use extra magic hours for resort guests to get in a few extra hours.  Consider purchasing the hopper option with your passes so that you can do a morning extra magic hours at one park and evening hours at another.

Make dining reservations as soon as you know where you'll want to eat.  They can be made up to 180 days in advance, and many restaurants will book entirely for Thanksgiving day.  Consider dining at off peak times to improve your chances of getting hard to come by reservations.

I also recommend that if you start your day with the most popular attractions, which are likely to be busier as the day goes on.  And skip the Spaceship Earth attraction as soon as you arrive at EPCOT.  The lines there tend to form very quickly when the park opens, but are easier to navigate later in the day.

    Have an absolutely wonderful time!
