We have a group of 11 people planning a trip to Disney - 2 adults w/ 1 3yr old, 2 adults w/ 1 6yr old, 10yr old and 15yr old and 2 adults w/ 1 8yr old. We all want to stay together on property. Are there any affordable options for lodging?

Hi, Julia!  You actually have several options that are available to you that will help you not only to stay within your budget, but also keep you all pretty close together.

My first recommendation is that you look into the family suites at the Art of Animation resort.  Open just this past year, the resort features value accommodations that can hold up to four guests in one room, but the family suites will allow up to six guests in a room.  You'll find the suites have two bathrooms, a small kitchenette, a separate bedroom with a television and queen sized bed, and two double fold out options that will accommodate four additional guests.  Two of those would comfortably fit everyone in your party, or the larger family could do the suite with the other two families booking other rooms nearby.

You might also want to consider the Fort Wilderness Cabins.  These rustic homes away from home give you a full kitchen, a deck, seating area, and sleeping for up to six guests.  You would need two of these as well for your whole party, but you may be able to balance the cost with prepared meals in your cabin as opposed to meals out in the theme parks.

Accommodating a group of this size all in the same quarters would require something along the lines of the grand villa at one of the Disney Vacation Club resorts.  You would have every comfort of home - a living room, full kitchen, dining table and chairs, multiple bedrooms and televisions - even a washer and dryer.  These are luxury accommodations, with access to resort amenities such as a table service restaurant, quick service dining options, shopping, and even in room dining.

I hope these options give you enough to start thinking!
