Welcome to Disney Parks Moms Panel, Cynthia!

Wow! A mother-daughter group trip to Walt Disney World: this is absolutely brilliant!

Making a special Advanced Dining Reservation for the group of moms and one for the teens is a great idea, too. You'll have one night where you can chat about raising your girls...and the girls can have one night of talking about how cool their moms are for taking them all to The Most Magical Place on Earth. (...okay, that's what I like to imagine my teen is saying. Let's just go with it. :-) )

When I travel with my kids and their friends--or chaperone a school trip for them--I often make more than one dining reservation on one day, one for each group. Because your daughter isn't 18, she won't be able to make the dining reservation, but you can do so for her. Be sure to add your daughter as one of the Guests who will be dining, and she will be able to see the reservations in her plans on both My Disney Experience and the My Disney Experience mobile app

As the Reservation Contact, you'll need to use your credit card to hold the reservation, and will be responsible for a late cancellation or no-show. Otherwise, at check-in, your daughter can give your name for the reservation. My son and daughter have done this often, and we've had no issues whatsoever.

If the time of the second reservation is too close to your reservation at Biergarten Restaurant, so that the system won't let you book the second one, a pop-up window will appear, asking if you'd like to keep the original reservation. Select "keep", then another window will appear, including a phone number for the Disney Reservation Center. Call that number and tell the Cast Member assisting you that you have a large party and would like to book two different dining reservations for each portion of the group. That Cast Member can get that second reservation for you, even though the times of the two overlap.

I also suggest capturing all of those magical group moments by purchasing Memory Maker, A Disney PhotoPass Product. You'll get all of your group's photos for one (advanced purchase discounted) price, ensuring that you won't miss a priceless pic.

Have so much fun planning your two-generation Girls Trip, Cynthia! Be sure to send us more questions as you think of them, too. We love to help!
