    Kaci from GA Asked

Greetings!...My partner and myself are traveling to Disney Orlando in September...what are some suggestions on things we should do sans little ones? Are any of the resorts more Adult friendly? Thanks in advance!

Hiya, pal! Kaci, you and your partner are in for a magical time! There are loads of things to do without kids; in fact my favorite trips to Walt Disney World Resort are the ones without my kids!

If you’re visiting in September, you’ll want to attend the Epcot International Food & Wine Festival, which runs from August 31 - November 13. Graze on delectable small plates and bites from each country in the World Showcase, find toast-able cocktails themed to nations, and explore the art and flavors of food across the world! You can find my favorite spiked Dole Whip during Food & Wine as you exit Future World and enter the World Showcase by turning right. Stir up and sip away! Make your FastPass+ reservations for all your favorite thrill rides like Tower of Terror, Big Thunder Mountain Railroad and Rockin’ Rollercoaster. Stay up late to watch the amazing firework spectaculars IllumiNations, Happily Ever After and wander Pandora as it glows in the dark (taste the boba ball frozen cocktail at Pongu Pongu!). Grab Memory Maker and rack up unlimited downloads of all your attraction ride photos and mug for the Disney Photopass photographers with your partner. Have a sweet photo session or act like Goofy. For a relaxing day, book a massage at the Grand Floridian and follow up with high tea.

For an adult resort I would recommend the moderate Port Orleans Orleans, with it’s beautifully treed streets, beignet breakfasts and fabulously themed pools. It’s quiet, comfortable, and I adore staying there. Let me know what else I can do to help you plan your trip. You’ve got a friend in me! ~ Lindsey P.
