You are great! Our 3 week trip was fantastic! We are now planning the next one. We want a cruise and a week at the GF after that we plan another week outside Disney. Do you think the cruise is best first or last? The kids will be nearly 10 and 7, thanks

    Hi Maria!

Most travel planners that I've talked to or listened to recommend that on a vacation where you are going to both visit Walt Disney World and cruise on the Disney Cruise Line, that you visit Walt Disney World first.  That's because a Walt Disney World vacation can be intense with a lot of waiting in lines, walking around a large geographical area, trying to be on time at restaurants, etc.  On the other hand, most guests find a Disney Cruise Line vacation to be very relaxing.  Thus they suggest saving the cruise until the end so that you can return home relaxed.

That said, I had a joint vacation last summer and we went on the cruise first and then went to the Beach Club for four nights at Walt Disney World.  I'm glad I did it that way, because I had such a great time on the Disney Magic that I didn't want to get off the ship when the cruise was over.  It would have been very hard to go to the airport and return to Maryland.  However, since I was headed to my favorite place in the whole world, it made getting off the ship easier.

If you've never cruised on the Disney Cruise Line before, I think you are going to love it.  The level of service is incredible.  It was like having an all-star team of Disney Cast Members.  My whole family loved it.

Enjoy planning and write back if you have any more questions!
