Is gratuity expected at Walt Disney World dining experiences?

    Hello Ward!

Thanks for bringing this great question to the Disney Parks Moms Panel. The shortcut answer to your question is, yes, tipping, or adding a gratuity to your payment for a table service meal would be considered appropriate in response to good service. Whether you are dining at a Signature Table Service experience like the California Grill, or a buffet style meal such as Chef Mickey's it is appropriate to add gratuity as you would at any restaurant.

However, there are a few exceptions, and these are dining experiences where gratuity is automatically included. Examples of this are when you are dining with six or more guests, the Hoop-De-Doo Musical Revue, and Cinderella's Royal Table. You can add additional gratuity to these meals if you would like, but it isn't expected.

I hope that helps with your planning.

    See ya real soon,
    Anne
