Grandpa is part time FL resident, wishes to buy grsndkids FL tickets(all under 10) 1-seperate child's price for Fl tickets or just the 1 rate? 2-To activate tickets, only in person at WDW ticket window? How affect 180 day for dining plan reservations?

Hi Christina and welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel!

It’s so nice that grandpa is going to purchase theme park tickets for his grandchildren. There isn’t any kind of Florida Resident discount for a single day. But, there is an offer at this moment for Florida Resident Discover Disney Tickets, available only to Florida Residents. They may be a better value for your family, depending on how long you are planning to visit. These tickets will be valid through June 30, 2019.

Christina, when it comes to making FastPass+ selections, you may link the tickets purchased by grandpa to your My Disney Experience account and go ahead and make those selections. In order to enter the theme parks, grandpa must be present to show Proof of Florida Residency at any ticket window or Guest Services location, the first day those tickets are used.

You can also go ahead and make any dining reservations for your party 180 days before your visit. Not having your tickets that far in advance will not affect dining. I always try to make reservations at Epcot’s Via Napoli Ristorante e Pizzeria at the Italy World Showcase pavilion, as far in advance as possible. It’s my family’s favorite place for lunch! The pizza and salads are delicious, and it may be the only restaurant that checks all the boxes for my young girls and my husband and I when I plan out our meals.

Feel free to stop by again to see us if you have any other planning questions. Helping you with the details of your next visit is our pleasure!
