My grandma lives in Florida and used her Florida residency to purchase tickets for my cousins and I for Christmas. But, we are all over 18, live out of the country and she does not intend to come with us to the park. What do we do now?

    Hello there, Mande!

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel. I'm so glad you stopped by with your question!

First and foremost, your sweet grandmother wins favorite relative of the year award for her kind gesture! How kind of her to give her grandkids the gift of magic. A vacation to Walt Disney World Resort is the best kind of present!

Since you are all 18 years of age or up, each one of you would have to show proof of Florida residency in order to use the Florida Resident Theme Park tickets. If you were under the age of 18 and your grandmother was coming with you to the Theme Parks, she would be able to pick up the tickets for you. Although this is not the case, don't panic.

Have your grandmother give Existing Tickets a call and a Cast Member will be happy to work out an alternative solution that will work for everyone. I called and spoke to a Cast Member myself about this and was told there are different options they can give her, and that this happens quite often, so there is nothing to worry about. Since your grandmother is the one who purchased the Theme Park tickets, she will be the one who has to call. If she has the confirmation number which was provided to her at the time of the purchase, as well as the original form of payment to confirm the receipt of payment, they can go ahead and amend the situation so that her grandkids can come enjoy the magic of Walt Disney World Resort!

Once this is taken care of, be sure to make your My Disney Experience accounts and invite one another to be on your Family & Friends list so you can start making and sharing plans! You will be able to choose FastPass+ selections for one another and make your advance dining reservations together!

Mande, I hope you and your cousins have the most magical time at The Most Magical Place on Earth!
