I am a grandma and my dream is to bring my grandkids along with their parents and Aunts. In total there will be 10 of us. I am looking for anyway to obtain a discount if possible. Also, I am a teacher. Suggestions?

    Dear Mary,

Thank you so much for stopping by to visit us here at the Disney Parks Moms Panel with your great question about making your dream vacation come true!

There are lots of ways to make a Walt Disney World Resort vacation more affordable! First, I would think about your desired dates and take a look at the Special Offers that are available throughout the year. Perhaps there will be dates and options that work well with your plan?

Many unions offer discounted park tickets, so you should definitely check with your union to see if they do. That can save you a significant amount, especially for a large group.

Walt Disney World Resort's Swan and Dolphin Hotels also offer terrific teacher rates for rooms, so that would be another great resource to check out.

In terms of planning affordable meals, there are many options for Quick-Service dining at the Walt Disney World Resort that are not expensive and also offer healthy options if you would like. We have traveled to Walt Disney World Resort on a pretty tight budget before, and have been able to feed everyone happily. I also recommend either bringing non-perishable groceries with you, or ordering grocery delivery. That can really help to cut down on expenses if, for example, you eat breakfast in your room each day. Free tap water is available at most Quick-Service restaurants, so that also helps my family stay on a budget while also staying hydrated!

Hope that helps with your magical planning!
