    Ami from LA Asked

Can you get just as good of a selection of sushi at Teppan Edo as at Tokyo Dining in Epcot? Also, can you give us the top three or four sushi restaurants throughout DisneyWorld, please?

    Hi Ami,

When I'm in the mood for sushi at Walt Disney World -- which I often am -- I will admit that Teppan Edo is not the first spot that comes to mind. While the restaurant does have a limited sushi menu, I prefer to stick with the teppan-yaki grill entrees, such as the shrimp, scallops or the filet mignon.

I find the variety and quality of the sushi to be better at the adjacent Tokyo Dining.

You can find some killer sushi at several other spots around Walt Disney World. If you are looking for a signature dining experience, you can't go wrong with California Grill. On a couple of occasions, my family has skipped entrees for sushi and appetizers there (along with a great view of the Magic Kingdom fireworks.)

Morimoto Asia at Disney Springs also is high on our list, both for sushi and noodle dishes. The tuna pizza may be our favorite appetizer in all of Walt Disney World. You will also find a good sushi selection at Kona Cafe and at its sister Kona Island Sushi Bar in the Polynesian.

Since you are visiting during the Epcot International Flower & Garden Festival, you will find a couple of treats at the Hanami marketplace in Japan that may be appealing: a frushi (fruit rolled in raspberry rice) and the ahi tuna tartare.

Thanks for stopping by the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Ami. We love talking about our experiences at Walt Disney World, especially the food. Please let us know if you have any other questions. Enjoy!
