Where is a good place to stay that comfortably accommodates a family of 6? Whats the best way to be cost efficient when feeding the family (food plan)?

    Hi, Amavi!

You've got lots of options for accommodations for  a family of six at Walt Disney World; the most comfortable and cost-efficient, though, are Family Suites at Disney's Art of Animation Resort. In these Suites, families enjoy 1 queen bed, 1 double-size table bed and 1 double-size sleeper sofa, plus a mini-kitchen and two bathrooms (for us, those last two items are a must!)

The mini-kitchen, complete with mini-fridge, microwave, coffee maker and sink, will enable you to keep costs down on breakfasts, not to mention other light meals throughout your stay. We always bring non-perishables (either checking a box of goodies on our flight down or shipping a box of goodies to our own attention at the resort) for inexpensive breakfasts in the room, picking up items such as bread, butter and milk from the resort shop. Bring peanut butter, jelly, Nutella, granola bars, cereal, etc., and breakfast is covered for a fraction of what it would cost to eat out.

Regarding a Disney Dining Plan, you have several options with an eye on saving money. If you know you won't want Table Service Dining once a day, then check out Quick-Service Dining Plan. If, on the other hand, you know you'd like to try a character meal or two, then look at the Dining Plan. We like this because we know exactly how much we'll need to save for our dining budget, PLUS we don't have to worry about what we'd like to order once we're on vacation. If it's included on the Dining Plan (i.e. entree, dessert, beverage) then we order it. If this idea intrigues you, Amavi, send me another Question and I'll detail how to save money while enjoying spectacular meals at WDW.

Send more questions as you think of them, too. I love to help!
