Good Morning! We will be visiting Animal Kingdom April 7th. The park closes at 8pm, Rivers of Light is at 8:30pm. Will we be able to walk through Pandora after the Rivers of Light show? We don't want to miss seeing how it lights up at night!

Hi there, Sarah! Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! Thank you for reaching out and allowing us to answer your question!

Disney’s Animal Kingdom Park at night is definitively not something you want to miss! After the sun sets, the park takes on a completely new life and comes alive with magic. I vividly remember my first time seeing Pandora - The World of Avatar once the sun had gone down. You truly feel as though you have been transported to an alien planet as you enter into the bioluminescent forests that surround Pandora and explore the extraterrestrial life that covers this planet. I highly recommend all Guests make an effort to experience this one-of-a-kind transformation!

Of course, Rivers of Light is another must-see attraction that takes place at Disney’s Animal Kingdom at night. This show gorgeously combines special effects, music, and folklore to create a stunning rendition of traditional Eastern festivals. One of my personal favorite planning strategies is to grab a FastPass+ reservation for Rivers of Light and then either walk through Pandora on my way to the show or following its completion. Utilizing the FastPass+ system takes off some of the stress of arriving early in order to grab your seat for Rivers of Light. This can allow you to spend more time experiencing other attractions you may want to see prior to exiting the park. In the past, though, I have been able to cut through Pandora following the Rivers of Light show in order to get one final look at its beauty!

Hopefully this provides you with some helpful information that you may use while continuing to plan your vacation!
