Good Morning, Do we need a Fastpass for the show Fantasmic! in Hollywood Studios?

Hello Samantha and welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel!
Fantasmic! is one my family's "must-do" experiences each and every time we visit Disney's Hollywood Studios. My honest answer to the question of using one of your FastPass+ selections for Fantasmic! is- it depends. If you are coming during a busy time of the year and you do not want to wait on line an hour or more to ensure a seat, then by all means, use one of your selections. There is a down-side to this, however. Disney Hollywood Studios operates on a "tiered" FastPass+ system. Guests are allowed to choose one attraction from Tier 1 which includes some of the most popular attractions, including Fantasmic! If you choose Fantasmic! you will not be able to obtain a FastPass+ for another Tier 1 attraction. This includes Toy Story Midway Mania, Rock 'n' Rollercoaster Starring Aerosmith, The Great Movie Ride and Beauty and the Beast- Live on Stage.

An option that gives you the best of both worlds is reserving a Fantasmic! Dinner Package. This will secure you a place in a reserved section AND provide you with dinner at one of three great dining venues. I hope this helps with what can be a very difficult decision.

    See ya real soon!

Meet the Panelist: Anne, Iowa

I’m Anne, a native Iowan, wife, mother, and grandmother. For me, a major part of the fun of a Disney trip is the planning. I have traveled to the Disney Parks in multiple stages of my life, including as a daughter, sister, aunt, mother and grandmother. While I can’t pick my funniest Disney memory – either my 70-year-old mother on The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror or my 4-year-old grandson on Dinosaur – I am thrilled to be able to help other Disney guests plan their adventures.
