Good morning! Will be staying at AoA with my mom in July in an accessible room. Are accessible rooms closer to pool/restaurants etc? She walks with a cane. Renting ECV at park only. Thank you!

Hi Jill, thanks for stopping by the Disney Parks Moms Panel with your question.

Disney's Art of Animation is such a fun resort, I think you are going to have a great time.  You will actually find accessible rooms in each building throughout the resort, so I can't say for sure where you will be located.  Since the resort is pretty spread out, I'd give them a call and put in a request to be placed in the Finding Nemo themed area since this is the closest to the food court, gift shop and main pool.  While requests aren't guaranteed, Cast Members do a great job of tying to make them happen and calling early can only work in your favor.

I hope this helps. Enjoy your stay!

I love all things Walt Disney World.  In fact, since becoming Annual Passholders, my family of 3 is always hopping in the car for a quick trip to visit with Mickey Mouse!  I've been known to make the 8 hour each way drive to Walt Disney World (in one day!) to indulge in a Mickey Waffle or enjoy a sunny day at Disney's Typhoon Lagoon Water Park.  I may have a small family, but we are always up for some BIG fun at the Walt Disney World Resort.   Learn More About Jackie
