Good Morning, We are planning a trip to Disney World in April. Unfortunately, due to my grandchildren's school vacation, we have to travel the week before Easter. It looks like the parks will be at high capacity. Any suggestions for park planning?

    Hi, there!

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Teresa. I'm so glad you stopped by with this great question!

As a teacher, I usually visit Mickey Mouse with my family when school is not in session, which does typically mean that the crowds are a bit heavier. Not to worry! I have a few tips that will help you maximize your time in the busy theme parks.

    • Arrive to the theme parks early. I recommend you arrive 30-45 minutes prior to official park opening. You won't believe how much you can experience in the first hour of the day!
    • Plan your FastPass+ experiences carefully. Don't schedule a FastPass+ for the first hour of the day while the wait times are low. Instead, plan your three FastPass+ experiences through mid-morning and into the early afternoon when the wait times are longer.
    • Take an afternoon break. This is a good piece of advice no matter your age! We always leave the theme parks shortly after lunch when the crowds begin to get heavy. My family heads back to our Resort hotel for a swim and a nap.
    • Stay late! After everyone has had a nice afternoon rest, we're ready to go back to the theme parks. It just so happens that this is when the crowds begin to thin out. My kids don't have a problem staying until park closing because they're well-rested and having SO much fun!
    • If you're staying at a Disney Resort hotel, be sure to take advantage of Extra Magic Hours. Who doesn't want extra time in the theme parks?

I hope this was helpful. Please visit us again soon with any new questions you may have about your Grand Adventure!
