Hi, is it a good idea to hop on the railroad as soon as we enter the park and get off in Fantasy Land? Travelling with a 9 and 7 year old and the rides they want are there. Thanks,

    Hi there Anne!

Thanks for visiting the Disney Parks Moms Panel with your question! My family likes to tour Magic Kingdom Park by "lands," always starting in Fantasyland. We find that we are able to maximize our time and decrease the amount of unnecessary walking, when we have a park touring strategy. I would personally recommend walking to Fantasyland, rather than riding the Walt Disney World Railroad. I have always found that we can walk quicker than riding. The walk to Fantasyland from the main entrance takes approximately 10 minutes. Be sure to pick up a Park Map and Times Guide when entering the park for easier park touring and up to date Character Greeting, Dining, Show and Attraction times. I hope this information helps! Please don't hesitate to write me back if I can be of further assistance to you. Best wishes for a magical trip, Anne!

    Happy Travels,
