Good evening all! My wife and I are considering a trip to WDW in the coming weeks with our new baby boy (2 months) and are considering the MNSSHP and an After Hours event to avoid the heat. Are the Baby Care Centers available for these special events ?

    Hi, there!

Gabriel, I'm so excited to hear about the arrival of your new addition. Congratulations! There's nothing better than a new baby in the house.

It's never too early for baby's first visit to the Walt Disney World Resort! I think your plan to enjoy the theme parks in the evening is a great way to avoid the heat with your little guy. Attending Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party and a Disney After Hours Event is also a great way to maximize your time in the theme parks since most popular attractions feature little to no wait times during these special events.

To answer your question, you can count on the Baby Care Centers to be open during special events. This family-friendly service is super convenient for anyone traveling with an infant! Each conveniently located Baby Care Center has a changing room, private nursing room, living-room area with comfortable seating, and kitchen. You can also find an onsite shop there with diapers, wipes, formula, and other necessities available for purchase. We once ran out of diapers while we at Magic Kingdom Park, and boy were we glad we could buy more at the Baby Care Center!

As a teacher, I usually travel to the Walt Disney World Resort with my family in the summer months. That Orlando sun certainly is warm, but we've learned a few keep-cool tips over the years that I think you might find helpful. Dress your baby lightly - think loose cotton and no layers. Consider taking a battery-operated clip-on fan. You can attach it to your son's stroller to give him a nice, consistent breeze! Most stores and dining locations are nicely air-conditioned, so avoid the few that aren't. And lastly, keep those precious little baby toes uncovered. Your son will be cooler without socks and shoes!

Thanks for stopping by the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Gabriel. Please visit us again soon with any new questions you may have!
