What is a good estimate of time that it takes to visit each theme park?

Great question and a lot has to do with crowds.  If crowds are minimal you can cover most of the parks in a day.  And for many, AK can be done in a half day.  However, if crowds are large and lines are long, parks like MK can take up to two days to be able to see and experience every attraction.  If you are able to give each park at least one day that would be my recommendation.  I would begin there and then if you are staying longer, you can use those days to go back to your favorites or to see attractions you did not get to on day one.
I hope this helps and that you have a fantastic WDW vacation.  Thanks for coming to the Mom's Panel.
