    Rebeca from FL Asked

I have the gold annual passes and would like to visit for New Years but my tickets are blocked out during this time. Is there a way to purchase the tickets or add it to my passes to unblock these dates?

    Hi Rebeca,

There's no place more special to celebrate a big holiday than at the Walt Disney World Resort, so I can definitely see why you'd like to be there to experience some of the New Year's Eve festivities!

Yes, I'm happy to let you know that you have a couple of options to be able to enjoy visiting while your current Annual Pass has blackout dates. You may either purchase a ticket just for the day(s) you'd like to visit or you may upgrade your Annual Pass to the Disney Platinum Pass or the Disney Platinum Plus Pass, neither of which have any blackout dates. Just a heads up, though, that the week between Christmas and New Year's Day is always one of the most popular times of the year to visit. It is possible that the theme parks may have limited access due to capacity issues. Because of that, I'd definitely encourage you to arrive extra early so that you'll be among the Guests who are able to enjoy the magic and fun of the holidays. If you do purchase a ticket or upgrade your Annual Pass before your New Year's visit, I'd definitely encourage you to take advantage of the FastPass+ service and make three selections before you arrive.

Thanks so much for visiting us at the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Rebeca, and please let us know if you have any other questions as you're planning any visits. I hope that you are able to enjoy a truly magical New Year's visit, and have a blast experiencing the wonder all year long with your Annual Pass!
