When we go to WDW our son will be 14 months. Will he be too young to go on rides? Which rides do you think a baby at his age would enjoy?

Hello Heather! As someone who's been bringing all 3 of my children since they were weeks-old, I definitely don't think your son will be too young to go on rides. He may not be getting Fast Passes for Tower of Terror any time soon, but that does not mean there is nothing for him to enjoy.

In Magic Kingdom, some of my children's favorites are "it's a small world" - which is their "first ride" because the line is usually fast-moving, it's an easy on/off boat, and there is SO much for little ones to look at, along with the catchy song of course. ;) The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh is a popular ride that you will probably want to line up early for, or get a Fast Pass. Our kids have always loved the movement of this ride and all the characters too. Then depending on how your little guy handles heights, there's Peter Pan's Flight and Dumbo. Don't forget the WDW Railroad too, that's always a big hit.  We've never had a problem taking ours on Pirates of the Caribbean and Haunted Mansion because at that age, they aren't really aware of things that older kids might find a bit scary, but of course you know your baby best so I'll leave that one up to you.

In all the parks, there are certain rides you won't be able to take  him on due to height requirements or motion (Soarin', Test Track, etc.) and some that you might want to avoid because he might get scared of the dark or other factors (Universe of Energy). We just took our 17 month-old on the Safari at Animal Kingdom and he loved it, bumps and all. It was the perfect age to be interested in seeing the animals.

Don't be afraid to ask a cast member exactly what happens in a ride before you get in line, so you're sure it'll be something you'll all enjoy. My little guy had fun on Toy Story Mid-way Mania, even without the 3-D glasses or knowing what was going on, just because there was so much to look at. I hope you all have a great time! We're here to help if you have any other questions.  :)
