Will go to WDW Sept.2016. If I book a room only soon, then switch it to a package when announced this summer, can I then add the free dining if it is announced later? That is a lot of switching. Thank you very much.

    Hi Patricia,

Sure thing!  As we all know, life changes and therefore you have a great deal of flexibility when planning a Walt Disney World vacation.

You may make a room-only reservation up to 499 days in advance and then later convert it to a vacation package when those are released.  Once you convert a room-only reservation to a vacation package reservation your terms will also change.  Currently you may modify vacation packages (or even cancel) without any fees until 45 days prior to check-in.  If you modify your vacation package from 2-44 days prior to check-in there is a $50 change fee and if you modify your vacation package within 1 day there is a $65 change fee.  Of course this information pertains to 2015 vacation packages and therefore you should note your 2016 vacation package terms once they are released.  I personally have the Walt Disney World Special Offers page bookmarked and like to check back often.

I hope this information helps you with your MAGICAL vacation planning!  We really appreciate you stopping by to ask your questions and hope to hear from you again as you plan your September 2016 vacation!
