How should we go about planning our meal reservations if we have never been to disney world and we don't know where we are going to be on what day?

Hi Jennifer!  I know many people don't like the idea of their vacation being so structured that every minute is planned.  A Disney vacation doesn't have to be that way either.  However, because of the popularity of the restaurants and the number of guests who vacation there I will always recommend you get some dining reservations 90 days ahead of your arrival date.

Check the park calendars for extra magic hours and decide what days look best for your situation to visit the parks.  Perhaps you will want to take advantage of the extra evening magic hours at EPCOT one night which would make that a perfect chance to reserve a dinner at one of its many restaurants.  I recommend making one dining reservation per day.  Look through the choices on the disney web site, www.disneyworld.com, and have a few choices for each park. You can always cancel but it will be very difficult to get a seating once you are there.

Make a tentative schedule for your visit...nothing has to be written in stone but it is best to go with a plan. I suggest one park a day with at least one day for relaxation if your vacation time permits. If you are going in the warmer months then a day at the water parks is a must as well.  Coordinate your dining reservations with that plan.

If there is anything else we can help you with while you are in the planning stages please write to the panel again.
