Hey there, Pamela!
Many of our
Walt Disney World vacations have been booked just this way. I often hone in on the resort we want to be in for our vacation, then figure out which
theme park tickets will be our best option. Because you can add a
Disney Dining Plan up to 48 hours prior to your arrival, you have plenty of time to make the decision on whether or not your family would like to use a dining plan. So yes, you can absolutely book your vacation one component at a time!
One word of caution - don't wait too long to add theme park tickets. As a
Walt Disney World resort guest, you'll be able to make your
FastPass+ attraction selections 60 days prior to your arrival, for up to 10 days of your vacation. For some of the most popular attractions, such as
Avatar Flight of Passage or the brand new
Toy Story Land attractions, having that advantage over non-resort guests is really quite a benefit. You will have to have theme park tickets linked to your
My Disney Experience account in order to make the FastPass+ selections.
Have a great time planning your magical vacation, Pamela!
