How do I go about getting assistance for my 8 yr old that has a pacemaker- in order not to wait in lines or walk long distances etc.

Hi Tasneem! I know you must be getting so excited to be visiting Walt Disney World Resort in a few short days!

Walt Disney World Resort is committed to ensuring every Guest has a safe and magical experience. The Disability Access Service is invaluable for Guests with challenges tolerating extended wait times at attractions. With the Disability Access Service, your traveling party will schedule a return time that is comparable to the current queue. Rather than waiting in line, you can enjoy other areas of the theme park and return at the appropriate time. You can also use this service in conjunction with FastPass+. When you first arrive at a theme park, visit Guest Relations to discuss the Disability Access Service and/or other accommodations during your visit.

Your 8 year old also has the option to use a personal or rented stroller or wheelchair throughout Walt Disney World Resort as there is the potential to do a great deal of walking throughout your visit. As you near an attraction, your 8 year old will transfer from the wheelchair or stroller to the ride vehicle. You can speak with a Cast Member at each attraction so you will know the transfer procedures. There is also great transfer information found within Services for Guests with Mobility Disabilities.

For more information, you can contact Disability Services at (407) 560-2547 or by email at disability.services@disneyparks.com.

Please let me know if you need any other tips or information as you plan your vacation. Enjoy every magical moment!
