We go to Disney every year but this year will be our first time staying at Shades of Green. If we stay there, can we walk over to the Polynesian and use the water taxis/boats to get to Magic Kingdom? Or any other Disney provided transportation options?

    Welcome back, Clarissa!

I salute you for bringing your excellent question to the Disney Parks Moms Panel. I hope you are having fun planning your next visit to Walt Disney World® Resort, Shades of Green® is beautiful.

I also want to take the time to thank the Service Man/Women in your life for their sacrifice. Having been a military child, I can attest to its challenges.

While you certainly could walk over to Disney's Polynesian Village Resort for transportation to the Magic Kingdom, you don't have to! Shades of Green® offers complementary Disney Bus Transportation just like all on-property resort hotels.

As a guest, you'll have access to dedicated bus service from Shades of Green® to all four theme parks, both water parks, and to Disney Springs. If you select the highlighted link above, you'll be able to link to the Shades of Green Website - under the Resort Amenities Tab, you'll be able to find a bus schedule that even offers operating hours for each park and when the last bus leaves! I think you'll find the information available very handy in helping you plan your first stay at Shades of Green®.

While you're enjoying your day in Magic Kingdom, don't forget to check out the Flag Retreat Ceremony. This patriotic event takes place daily at 5pm.

Please let me know if you should have any additional questions. I am here to help you plan all the magic you possible can.
