Are there gluten free options when dining for those with celiac disease? Are the gluten free options listed online on the menus?

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Kathy!

I am sorry to hear that someone in your travel party has dietary restrictions, but I am very happy to tell you that you are in good hands! Earlier this month, The Food Allergy Research & Education (FARE) recognized Walt Disney Parks and Resorts as an industry leader in providing safe, quality dining experiences to guests with allergies and special diets at the 20th annual Food Allergy Ball in New York City! Having a daughter with a severe nut allergy, I am always more than satisfied with the care and attention that my daughter receives while dining at a Disney Restaurant. If you happen to make any Table Service Reservations, make sure to add the dietary restriction to your Reservation. Once you check-in, your server will more than likely have the allergy noted and will make mention of it, but if they do not, simply remind them. I have had the head chef come out to discuss allergies in the past, but due to increasing awareness, this happens less and less, but is always an option! Most Table Service Disney Restaurants will have gluten free options (dessert included) and if they don’t (and I cannot think of any that don’t!), then the chef will be happy to prepare something for you.

At Quick Service locations, you will find an increasing number of Allergy Menus which identify the foods that are safe to eat for the most common allergies (nuts, soy, gluten, etc.), if you don’t see one of these Allergy Menus, simply ask a friendly Cast Member if they are available. Remember that you can also bring in your own food, drinks and snacks into the Disney Theme Parks as long as they do not need to be heated and are not in glass containers.

I hope this helps with your meal planning! Have a magical vacation and bon appetit!
