I want to give my grandchildren an annual passport. They live in So CA and qualify for the So Cal passport. If I purchase one level, can they upgrade and still make monthly payments for the excess price?

    Greetings Vicki!

What a wonderful gift for your grandchildren!
Annual Passports are a perfect way to enjoy the magic at the Disneyland Resort time and time again!
Here in Southern California we're lucky to have Passport options designed for local guests.
I'm sure your grandkids will be thrilled to know they can visit the Disneyland Park and Disney California Adventure Park often and if they're anything like my kids, they'll be asking mom and dad for a trip to the "happiest place on Earth" quite frequently!
    What's

As far as upgrading an Annual Passport, you'll be glad to know it's definitely possible!
Your grandchildren can upgrade their Passport type at any time during their Annual Passport year, subject to passport availability.
Keep in mind, the expiration date of their current Passports will not change and once the Passports are upgraded, they will have the same expiration as the original Passports you purchased.
Also, Passports cannot be upgraded online at this time.
This means they'll have to visit the Disneyland Resort Main Entrance Ticket Booth in order to complete the upgrade, at which point the difference in prices will be due.

Lastly, if you purchase the Passports now through February 17, 2017, you get 13 months for the price of 12!

    I hope this helps.
    Happy New Year, Vicki!
