can u give me an day by day of which parks to visit the week of April 15-21..12 yr old girl 6 yr old boy.first time there.not big roller coaster fans..don't want it too hectic..staying off site-maybe leave park and return at night? which nighttime shows?

Hi Janet!  This is certainly a personal opinion question as we all have our own ideas of what is best when visiting the parks on specific days but I will give you some thoughts as to why I would choose what I do. And of course we never know what parks will be the most crowded on any given day no matter how hard we research and look at past data.

First of all both ages will and can enjoy all four parks at Walt Disney World.  My six year old grandson actually loves EPCOT the most because he wants to spend all his time in Innoventions. This has so many great interactive attractions for him to enjoy.  With that said plan on one day for each park and if you have any extra time head back to your favorite for another day.

Second, since you are staying off property try to avoid the parks that will offer the Extra Magic Hours. This is an amenity only for Disney resort guests and the parks tend to be more crowded since many guests can only go to one park per day.  The following is an itinerary suggestion:
Sunday: arrival day-just enjoy your resort and relax
Monday: Magic Kingdom, 9am-10pm    Wishes show: 10pm, Main Street Electric Light Parade: 9pm
Tuesday: Hollywood Studios, 9am-9pm    Fantasmic show: 8:30pm
    Wednesday: EPCOT, 9am-9pm    Illuminations: 9pm
    Thursday: Animal Kingdom, 9am-6pm
Friday: return to either Magic Kingdom, Animal Kingdom, or Hollywood Studios
    Saturday: relax and departure day?

Picking a park each day and going when it opens will give you the best chance to get on attractions without the larger crowds.  Then mid day you can head back to your resort for a rest or pool time and then back again for the evening festivities or shows.  Each park will have numerous attractions for both age levels beyond the thrilling roller coaster rides.  Let us know if we can assist you with details as you get closer.
