Can you give an approximate (conservative) total for the 2015 Dopey Challenge, including hotel, travel, food, etc.. I am considering a cabin at Animal Kingdom (there may be 2 families going).

    Hi Karen!

This is a tough question because different rooms will be different prices, travel will vary depending on your mode of transportation, and everyone's idea of what they will spend on food is different.  But, I will try and give you a very rough estimate.

The race registration will be around $500.00.

The cabins are at Fort Wilderness Resort and Campground.  I would say that you would be looking at between $350-$400/night at either the Cabins at Fort Wilderness, or a resort room at Animal Kingdom Lodge.

Travel will vary greatly depending on where you live, and whether you drive or fly.

Food can be as expensive as you would like, or you can be very conservative.  I usually budget about $60/ per day for me if I know I will be eating most meals at Disney, but not having any Signature Dining meals that would cost more.

I hope this is somewhat helpful!  Please let me know if you have any other questions.
