My girls are 6 and 8 & it's our first time. We intend to spend March 15th & March 17th visiting the parks. Which parks are most appropriate for this age.. is 1 park/day enough at this age & on these dates or will we need the park hopper option?

    Hi Andrea!

With two young girls, I think you should concentrate on the Magic Kingdom and Disney's Hollywood Studios.  I would plan on spending 1 whole day in each park, especially since it is your first trip.  I wouldn't worry about getting the Park Hopper option until some future trip!

I would head to the Magic Kingdom first, because it is the crown jewel of the Walt Disney World Resort.  In fact, in my opinion, it is the standard by which all other theme parks and amusement parks are measured. You should go there first so that if you don't do everything you want on your first day, you can decide whether to spend your second day there or to head over to the Studios.  Many guests do spend two or more days just in the Magic Kingdom; it has a lot to offer.

Since it is your first visit, I recommend getting the book "The Complete Walt Disney World" by Julie and Mike Neal.  It's a great book for first time visitors, as it is full of information but it not overwhelming.  It is also a beautiful book full of color photographs.  It will give a great feel for everything there is to do at Walt Disney World.

I hope this helps!  Enjoy planning your magical Walt Disney World Resort vacation, and write back if you have any more questions!
