Our 2 girls will be enjoying the Pirate Adventure Cruise at POR. Should we tip the captain/crew when the kids return? If yes, how much? Can't really judge the quality of service since I won't be participating. Thanks!!

    Ahoy Jane,

It sounds like your scallywags will be having an adventurous time on the Bayou Pirate Adventure, which departs out of Disney's Port Orleans Resort- Riverside. My pirates came back with stories of the sea and not quite sure they wanted to return to their landlubber ways after a plundering time on the Disney's Pirate Adventure, which set sail out of Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa.

I can only speak from my past experiences, but I did not tip the Cast Members on this excursion and nor do I recall seeing any other Guests. My advice to you is, upon checking-in your scallywags, ask the Cast Member if tips are accepted. Typically, Cast Members working table service dining, specialty recreations (parasailing guides, tubing guides, golf lessons, etc.), spa services including Harmony Barber Shop, Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique and The Pirates League, luggage assistance at your Walt Disney World Resort and Mousekeeper Housekeepers are some of those you should count on tipping.

One way you can show your appreciation, if your children had a wonderful time, is to pick up a Guest Relations Comment card at any Guest Relations location. Be sure to have the Cast Members first names so they can be recognized for their wonderful efforts in making your stay magical.

If I can be of any further pixie dusted assistance feel free to ask and enjoy your upcoming stay at Walt Disney World.
