Hi, my girlfriends and I are looking to schedule a ladies vacation with an option to join a Disney race next August. Are there any races in August/September? If so, when should I look for the info to be posted so we can register? Thanks! Stephany

    Hi Stephany!

Thank you for bringing your question to the Disney Parks Moms Panel. My first runDisney race ever was a girls weekend and I've had several since and they are always such a blast!

You will find that most running calendars start in the fall and end in the spring because it's simply too hot to run through the summer, especially at Walt Disney World Resort in Orlando! The current races on the runDisney calendar for 2018 are:
    - Walt Disney World Marathon Weekend in January
    - Disney Princess Half Marathon Weekend in February
    - Star Wars Half Marathon Weekend- The Dark Side in April
    - Disney Wine & Dine Half Marathon Weekend in November

One thing y'all may be interested in is participating in the runDisney Virtual Running Shorts which historically has been over the summer months. You would choose your own magical course on a visit to Walt Disney World Resort or back at home and take on this challenge together! This is usually announced in the spring so continue to check back on the Disney Parks Blog for more information on the 2019 series.

Please let us know if you have any other questions when planning your ultimate girls getaway to the Most Magical Place on Earth!
