My girlfriend and I are meeting in Disney World for our first vacation together with our 18 month old daughters. People have told us they are too young for Walt Disney World. We disagree! Can you give me some good ideas about attractions for them

I absolutely agree with YOU!  All ages can enjoy Walt Disney World and there hasn't been one age yet where I didn't enjoy the experience with my own children and now my grandchildren.  So many wait for the "perfect" age and  they are the ones that lose out on the great memories and fun that can happen with all ages.

Look for the attractions that are definitely not thrill type rides in each park.  Read the descriptions on the website and don't attempt to force a fussy child to sit through a long ride as you will become stressed if they get upset and act out. If Disney states it might be too scary for young children take the advice and find a different attraction to go on.

Some suggested attractions for the parks follow! Its a Small World, Cinderellas Carrousel, Adventures of Winnie the Pooh, and the Jungle Cruise in the Magic Kingdom.

Kilimanjaro Safari ride, Rafiki's Planet Watch( where they can actually touch some of the sheep and goats), and my favorite show, Festival of the Lion King in the Animal Kingdom Park.

Disney Playhouse, Beauty and the Beast, and The Little Mermaid shows are also possibilities in Hollywood Studios.

EPCOT is a great place to stroll but there are also some attractions that would be enjoyable.  Imagination is fun, Finding Nemo a nice ride, and the boat ride in the Mexico pavilion is short.  Spaceship Earth is quite long and a hard place to pacify a crying baby if that would happen.

There is so much more. As you can see each park has many opportunities and don't forget the character meet and greets and parades. Take lots of pictures and use the photo pass cards!  Take your time and don't rush and let the kids dictate what you do for the day. You will have an awesome time!
