Me and my Girl friend will be going to Disney. This will be her 1st time and my 1st time going to any of the parks besides Magic kingdom. We only have 4 days to fit everything in. Can anyone help give me some guidelines for our trip?

How exciting to be able to share her first visit! Even though you have been to Magic Kingdom before, a lot changed in late 2012 with the opening of the New Fantasyland. So much of it will be new to you, too! I encourage anyone preparing for a first visit to make a list of their  "must-sees" at each park and devise a tentative itinerary before you arrive. I'm a fan of parkhopper tickets, which allow you to move among the parks each day. For example, we like to start at Animal Kingdom, then go to Epcot in late afternoon to enjoy the food and beverages of the World Showcase pavilions. Or if you think your trip will be incomplete without riding every roller coaster, you can hop among parks to hit them all. (My favorites are Expedition Everest and Big Thunder Mountain Railroad, by the way). If you are staying on property, check out the schedule of Extra Magic Hours to know which parks have additional opportunities for you. And take advantage of advanced dining reservations to be sure you can enjoy at least one special meal during your visit. I like to have one lunch or dinner reservation per day. But try not to get too stressed over schedules and lists. Some of our best Disney moments have been spontaneous. I've been to Disney dozens of times, and there are still things I haven't seen, so don't think you have to cram everything in one visit. Relax and enjoy the magic!
