Hi we are getting ready to leave for Disneyland December 5th. We have purchased Annual Passports. Do you have any information on the 2014 Disneyland Candlelight Processional. Does anyone know if it will be performed and who the guest hosts will be? Thank

    Hi there Julie,

Thank you for writing us here at the Disney Parks Moms Panel. Your family must be thrilled to infinity and beyond that you are leaving for The Happiest Place on Earth tomorrow!

I'm so glad to hEAR you have made the investment of purchasing Disneyland Annual Passports for your family. As an Annual Passholder, you can enjoy more pixie dusted filled days at the parks while you enjoy the Annual Passholder discount on merchandise and food!

I attended the Candlelight Processional last year at Epcot with James Denton as the celebrity narrator, so I understand how beautiful this holiday tradition is to many. The 2014 Candlelight Processional and Ceremony at Disneyland Park will be on December 6 and 7, 2014. There will be two showtimes occurring at 5:30 pm and 8:00 pm. The celebrity narrator will be Beau Bridges on both days. This event is for invited Guests only. If you are a Guest attending this event, I recommend you arrive early.

Walt Disney began the Candlelight Processional and Ceremony in 1958, as a way to thank the local community. This tradition has been done for over 50 years; where hundreds of choir members would carry a lit candle and walk down Main Street, U.S.A. filling all the way to Main Street Station. This choir includes Cast Members and community choirs,  joined by the Disneyland Orchestra all singing classical hymns. Each year a Guest celebrity narrator reads the story of "The First Christmas."

I hope this helps. If you have any more questions, please write me back on how I can help you plan your pixie dusted vacation.

    Wishing you magic!
