We are getting ready to go cruising on Disney Fantasy (7 night). I noticed most of the excursions do not allow children under 2. Are there ports in which bringing a small child in a stroller would be a good experience, since the nursery has limited hours?

    Ahoy, Annette!

Thank you for sending in another great question to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! I've sailed the Western Caribbean itinerary many times, so I'm happy to give you some tips for navigating the ports with a stroller!

Cozumel, Mexico has shopping and restaurants close by the pier, so this is an easy one for you to explore on your own. George Town, Grand Cayman is a little trickier since you will have to tender over to the port as there is no pier to dock cruise ships. There are shops and restaurants once you are dropped off by the tender boat. Falmouth, Jamaica offers a small area right off the ship with restaurants and shops. This is probably the most convenient area to explore, but the smallest. And Disney Castaway Cay is very family-friendly! You'll find strollers and wagons perfect for little cruisers at the tram stops.

When my children were younger, we picked a day or two to stay on the ship because it's truly a destination on its own. There's plenty of activities and dining options, and it's a great time to enjoy the pool deck with fewer crowds. You'll want to check the Disney Cruise Line Navigator app for all your options.

Annette, I also encourage you to check the nursery availability once you are aboard. On my family's first cruise, I booked the maximum hours before we set sail and was able to add more once on the ship. I suggest stopping by "it's a small world" nursery! the first afternoon to see if you can add time for your youngest sailor. The Port Adventure Desk will be open throughout the cruise if you decide you want to book some fun ashore.

I hope these tips are helpful! Please keeps us in mind as you think of additional questions!
