Hi - getting ready for our first trip to Disneyland after several trips to WDW. We have 4-day e-tickets and plan to add MaxPass in the parks. Do my kids need to scan their tickets into their phones, or can I scan all four tickets from my phone?

    Hi there John!

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel. I'm so happy your family has decided to make the journey out west to the Happiest Place on Earth. My family loves the proximity of the parks and hotels of the Disneyland Resort. It is also a truly magical feeling to step foot in the original Disney theme park where it all began. I love the history of Disneyland Park and seeing things as Walt Disney himself saw them over 60 years ago.

Now one thing that Walt could have never imagined was how technologically advanced the parks would become with advancements like FASTPASS, the Disneyland app, and now Disney MaxPass. When you exchange your e-ticket at the gate, you will be able to easily link your new park ticket to the Disneyland app by scanning the bar code. You can then link the rest of your family's tickets to your account in this same way. After your tickets are linked, just select "Get FASTPASS with Disney MaxPass" on the app and select all the family members linked to your account. If you want to make FASTPASS selections for the members of your family, you will need to purchase MaxPass each day for them as well as yourself. If they have cell phones they can link their tickets to their own phones as well and the MaxPass benefits will also carry over to their accounts. Once all your family members are linked to your account, you can select them individually to make FASTPASS selections. You can even choose certain family members for one attraction and the rest for another.

I hope this was helpful, and I'm wishing you a magical vacation!
