Getting ready for our cruise. What is the space like for luggage in the cabins ? Does one store under the beds ? We have 2 adults and 2 kids in one room. Thanks again for your insight.

Welcome back, Anne! My family and I are just back from a magical cruise with Disney this past week and are currently unpacking our bags. I'm excited and envious that you're just now packing your bags to begin your sailing with Captain Mickey! I wish we were still onboard!

There is much more storage space in your stateroom than you'd imagine. We have hard sided suitcases, including one really large one, and they all have fit under our bed perfectly. We did have to lift the bed a bit to slide the largest hard sided case under, just to slip under the lip of the bed frame, but then, it fit in perfectly. That's a really big suitcase though. The others easily slid under the bed. There is also more storage space in the closets and a few nooks around the room, like under the desk/vanity area, and next to the couch that are great for keeping luggage out of the way. If your suitcases fit inside one another, be sure to do that once you unpack, so the empty luggage takes up less room.

Besides storage space for luggage, you'll also find plenty of drawers and cabinets for clothing and other articles you bring with you. We actually didn't even fill up all of the drawers on our sailing last week, with all four of us in the stateroom. Disney really does think of families and all the storage they need when they travel, so I promise you'll have plenty of space to get your things out of the way and keep the room clear for walking through and relaxing!

As you pack, don't forget to leave a bit of extra space for the return trip. I'm sure you'll see some "must-have" souvenirs to bring back with you, Anne!

    Have a magical cruise!
