We are getting ready to book for our cruise. Is it beneficial for my youngest to be 3 or older? And what is the pricing difference? What happens if I book and she turns 3 on the ship? Will that allow her to go in the kids club? It's in the timing.

Welcome aboard, Stevie! Congratulations on the big step to book your family's magical vacation with Disney Cruise Line!

If your daughter is three years old when she sails, (and fully potty trained), she'd be able to attend the Oceaneer Club and Lab onboard. These two clubs are for ages three to twelve, but she must be fully potty trained. Those not yet fully potty trained and three and under can attend It's A Small World Nursery, for some fun activities with the counselors. The Club and Lab are included in the cost of your cruise, and kids are welcome to be dropped off and picked up whenever they'd like, but the Nursery carries an additional hourly charge and times must be pre-booked. Plus, if your cruise visits Disney's Castaway Cay, at three, she can attend the island's Youth Club, Scuttle's Cove, for some sandy and wet fun! Those are really the biggest differences in sailing with a two year old or a three year old who is potty trained. Besides that, she'll still enjoy all of the fun family activities and shows, character greetings, amazing family meals and fun up on deck!

The age limit is pretty strict, but if she turns three during sailing, then from that birthday and on, she'd be allowed to stay for the secured programming with the counselors in the Oceaneer Club and Lab. The days before that, you could book a couple of hours for her to enjoy the Nursery if you'd like to sneak away to take part in the adult exclusive activities.

I hope that helps as you decide when to book this exciting trip! Honestly, Stevie, if you're looking to sail sometime around her birthday, and you can be flexible, it will be best to book once she is three so she can more fully participate, as long as she is potty trained!
    Have fun planning!
