We are getting a costco package that includes a premium character dining. I'm wondering which meal is more ideal to schedule a dining experience for and which experience is best for a 4 and 5 yo first timers.

Hey there, Lauren! Thanks for stopping by the Disney Parks Moms Panel and asking your question!

Premium character dining is available for Donald Duck’s Seaside Breakfast at Disney’s PCH Grill located inside Disney’s Paradise Pier Hotel or for breakfast or dinner at Goofy’s Kitchen located in the Disneyland Hotel. Both meals are excellent choices for kids and first-timers so you really can’t go wrong. You might want to make your decision based on other factors like at which hotel you are staying, what characters your family might prefer to meet, or if you want to have breakfast or dinner.

If you are staying at either of the hotels where these restaurants are located, then I definitely suggest taking advantage of the convenience of dining at your hotel. It’s such a breeze to simply walk downstairs in the morning or evening to enjoy your character meal. If your kids are dying to meet Donald, Daisy, Minnie, and Stitch, then Donald Duck’s Seaside Breakfast is the meal for you. If they are bigger fans of Goofy, Mickey (during dinner only), Minnie, Pluto, Chip, and Dale, then opt for Goofy’s Kitchen. Finally, if you would enjoy a sit down character dinner, then Goofy’s Kitchen is your only choice.

No matter which option you choose, reservations are highly recommended and can be made up to 60 days in advance online or by calling (714) 781-3463. You will present your dining vouchers when you pay for either of these meals.

I hope this helps. Have a magnificent time at the Happiest Place on Earth!
