When getting character signatures at Walt Disney World, can I bring Markers into the parks? I was told by someone the at they are no longer letting you use markers, only pens. Is this true? If I bring a marker will it be confiscated? Thanks!

    Hi Margaret,

I'm not really aware of any change in policy.  In fact, my family and I were there in early December.  We went to the park each day armed with an autograph book and a Sharpie.  About halfway through the trip, I did switch to using a pen --  but only because I saw Mickey with those big white gloves, and the mom in me started to think how difficult it must be for him to keep his hands clean.  Just make sure that if you do use a marker, have it opened, and let a responsible adult place the pen in the character's hands.

Hope this helps.  Have a magical vacation!
