Hi there ! i generally stay away from disney in the summer and we visit in the off season but it looks like we may be there this summer. i was wondering if you can tell me which is less crowded july or august and is there certain weeks either time

    Hi Kristen,

Most of the summer is crazy crowded at Walt Disney World. The rule of thumb is that when schools are out, Disney has crowds. Of course, the summer is when most schools are off, so that's a busy time at the parks.

All of July and the first two weeks of August are super full. However, the good news is that many school districts in the South start to go back in session at the end of August. This means that beginning around August 17-18, there is a very quick drop in crowd levels. The last week of August is actually one of the least crowded times in the parks. If I had to visit WDW in the summer, that's exactly when I would choose to go.

Good luck with your planning. Please let us know if you have more questions.
