Hi Jennifer,
If you are anything like me, you may be leaving your camera at home these days, switching entirely to using your mobile phone throughout your vacation to record video and take photographs. I also use my phone throughout the day to check attraction wait times, communicate with family, book dining and make FastPass+ selections. You can even use the GPS-enabled interactive maps on the
My Disney Experience mobile app to navigate around the Parks and Resorts using Disney's complimentary Resort transportation system. Best of all, Disney provides complimentary WiFi throughout Walt Disney World!
As mobile phone batteries rarely last all day, Disney has once again saved the day by recently installing
Portable Phone Charging System Kiosks throughout the Parks and Resorts. Guests can make a one-time purchase of a small, lightweight fuel rod at these self-serve kiosks which can be used to recharge iPhone and most Android brand mobile phones. Once the battery in the portable fuel rod depletes, simply visit your closest kiosk to exchange your fuel rod for a fully charged one. There is no limit to the number of times your fuel rod can be exchanged, and you can even bring it back on a future trip! Is that Magical or what?
Jennifer, currently the Portable Phone Charging System Kiosks are located in all four Walt Disney World Theme Parks, Disney Springs, ESPN Wide World of Sports and select Resorts, with more being added all the time. You can even use the My Disney Experience app on your mobile device to search for the nearest kiosk when you need to swap out your depleted fuel rod.
Wishing you pleasant and happy park touring on your next trip, complete with fully charged phone batteries!
Trish
