Hi my friends, We are traveling with my 6 & 4 year old and was wondering which hotel do you think they will enjoy more, animal kingdom bunk beds pool view, wilderness lodge bunk beds pool view or contemporary tower lake view? Thanks!!

    Christian:

If the Savannah view rooms of the Animal Kingdom aren't in your budget, I'd mark it off your list. The resort only provides bus transportation to the parks and your children can enjoy the animals on Kilimanjaro Safari.

That leaves us with Wilderness Lodge and the Contemporary. The lodge's boat to Magic Kingdom is beat out by the monorail that whisks riders away in the Contemporary's lobby to the park. Additionally, I think you'll find the view of the Bay Lake spectacular in comparison to the lodge's pool views. You'll find the rooms at the Contemporary some of the roomiest at Disney World, but the bunks at the lodge give your children separate sleeping accommodations that can only be achieved at the Contemporary if one sleeps on the convertible sofa bed. And while the stories-tall lobby of Wilderness Lodge appeals to young pioneers, there's something again about that monorail in the Contemporary's lobby that makes it a more memorable choice.

You really can't lose with either resort, but if proximity to Magic Kingdom is important, the Contemporary might have a leg up over Wilderness Lodge.

    Wishing y'all a magical vacation!

My family of 6 appreciates Disney's value! Although Ft. Wilderness is our second home, we've enjoyed the resorts for business, reunions and romantic getaways. For me, Disney also means dining: last count, I'd eaten at 55 restaurants around the World! Learn More About Whitney
