My friends and I are freshmen at different universities who will be home during the Disney World Half-Marathon. Do you offer any student discounts on packages? We're excited but are concerned about the price of the package that includes room&passes

    Hi Julia!

Thank you for bringing your question to the Disney Parks Moms Panel!

There currently aren't any student discounts offered by runDisney for race registration or travel packages. But, I do have few ideas for you to help keep the cost low.

    1.  Stay at a Value Resort:  During the race weekend, ALL of the Walt Disney World Resorts will have bus transportation to and from each race event.  This is a huge convenience for runners/spectators. Staying at a Value Resort will allow you to use the transportation, but also keep the cost low. Splitting a room with three friends would make it very affordable.

    2.  Watch for Special Offers:  They won't be released until later in the year, but there are often special offers promoted by Disney that cover marathon weekend. If one comes out, you can see if it will apply to an existing reservation, or cancel the one you already have and make a new one.

    3.  Start asking for Disney Gift Cards: Do you have a birthday or any other special day coming up?  My family knows that Disney Gift Cards are always a great gift for me!  You can use them to pay on your balance or save them for food, park tickets, etc.

I hope this helps!  Please let me know if you have any other questions.
