We have a friend in FL who wants to join us at a park w/her granddaughter 1 day during our vacation. We want to go to a character meal together, possibly Crystal Palace. We're on the dining plan, but does our friend have to be on the plan too?

    Hi Jennifer,

What fun that your friend will be able to join you for the day during your trip. Crystal Palace is one of my family's favorite character meals. We love the ease of the dining plan, and we also have family that lives in the Orlando area and likes to meet us for a meal or two.

When I make our advanced dining reservations, I inform the reservationist of the number of members in our party who will not be using the dining plan. Once we are on property and sit down for our meal, we again inform our waiter that there are people not on the plan. Once the meal is over, our waiter has brought us two seperate checks. One is for those on the dining plan and the other will have a total to be paid by the parties not on the plan. We have dined this way numerous times with no problems. I hope you and your friends have a wonderful time together.

    Enjoy,
    Margaret
