friend return from WDW, told me there were tip suggests of 18 + 20% listed to choose or write in, incl. buffets. Felt had to give 18 even at buffet, though the only service was for drinks. This expected? they are costly so tip higher than other full serve

    Hi Kimberly!
There is absolutely NO pressure regarding tips when dining at Walt Disney World. The suggested tip amounts are simply that...suggestions.
It is a truly subjective matter that is really up to each individual guest. I'm sure some guests get great service and leave a minimal tip whereas other guests may not get great service but still leave a generous tip simply because they believe in tipping. It is totally varied and totally up to you.
I would not let this bother you in the least bit. If you feel inclined to tip heavy, go for it. If you have dined at a buffet and don't feel the service warranted an 18-20% tip, then leave what you feel was earned.
I hope this helps and I wish you a Magical trip!! :)
