    Brittany from FL Asked

I have a friend who is 17 and lives in FL. He does not have an ID because his parents won’t let him get it yet. How does he go about being allowed into the park with a florida resident ticket?

Hi, Brittany! Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel and thanks so much for stopping by with your question. What a wonderful friend you are for helping him try to find a way to make sure he is able to take advantage of the great Florida Resident discounts. Just like Sheriff Woody, you could tell him, "you've got a friend in me!"

Be sure to look over the requirements for activating Florida Resident tickets. They are quite stringent, but there is some flexibility. My best suggestion is that while his parents may not allow him to have a drivers license yet, he could still get a state-issued ID card. These have all the pertinent information, such as the person's name, address, birth date, and a picture on them. These forms of ID can be used to activate the tickets. The ticket will need to be activated at any Guest Relations location before it can be used to enter the parks. So be sure to bring all of the required information to begin your magical day at Walt Disney World Resort!

Thanks again for stopping by and please let us know if you have any other questions as you continue to plan your pixie-dusted adventures!
