We have fp+ for me hubby & 11yr old to ride Rcknrll Cstr. My 16yr old cant ride it. Will she need to wait outside or can she walk into ride with us? Can we do a kid swap with the 11 yr old so one of us can wait with our daughter while the other rides?

Hello Lisa! Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel.

I foresee this being a problem for my family in the future as my youngest son shows little fear in the face of thrills and spills, while my oldest daughter thinks that Dumbo The Flying Elephant is a disaster waiting to happen.

The good news for our particular situations is the Rider Switch Service offered at select attractions throughout Walt Disney World Resort Theme Parks. The Rider Switch Service provides the opportunity for Guests to ride attractions that others in their party cannot (height restrictions, heart condition, pregnancy, etc.) or would rather not participate in a particular experience.

We have used the Rider Switch Service for rides that my daughter refused to go on (Star Tours - The Adventures Continue) and for rides that my son did not meet the height requirement (Soarin').  We simply informed the Cast Member at the entrance of the attraction of our intention, were provided a Rider Switch Pass and both parties were able to enjoy the ride.

In your case, your 11 year-old will be able to ride with both parties. If your daughter decides to wait in line and then skip the ride while the rest or your party rides together, there is usually a way to forego the attraction after waiting in the queue.  Inform Cast Members of your daughter's intentions and they will escort her to an appropriate waiting area for your return.

If your daughter chooses to wait in line, she must use a FastPass+ selection if waiting with the rest of the family in line.

    Have a Good Ride!
