I just found your website. We are scheduled to be on the Disney Fantasy this upcoming Easter. Having never before been on a cruise of any kind, where do I even start? What are the "non-misses", and what should I start thinking about now?

    Warm greetings, Jeannine!

I'm delighted that you've found the Disney Parks Moms Panel site. There's so much to look forward to when going on a Disney Cruise vacation with your family, and it sounds like you're already gearing up for an epic trip. It feels like it was just yesterday when I was preparing to go on our very first cruise. I didn't know what to expect, and there weren't very many resources on the internet back then.

You come to expect quality and excellent service whenever you adventure with Disney... you can surely count on it with Disney Cruise Line. I highly suggest seeing all the evening shows as a family. You will either be dining first or watching the evening show first, based on your dinner assignment. The Broadway-style musicals are top notch and the evening variety shows are very entertaining. The special dining rotation onboard allows you to try all the main restaurants throughout your voyage. Order anything you fancy on the menu - you don't have to stop at 1. Try to get brunch or dinner reservations at the adult-exclusive Palo or Remy restaurants... perfect setting for an exquisite date night!

Let the kids loose at the Youth Clubs. Fun ice breaker events happen on embarkation day, and they won't want to miss the fun activities there. It's the place to be at, after dinner for them - so that the adults can have their own fun at the Europa district. Track your booking window and mark it on your calendar so that you can make reservations for onboard activities and port adventures - you'll be able to book activities 75 days prior to your sail date.

Easter is warmly celebrated onboard too. Check out the daily Personal Navigator for special events and venues. Don't forget your pirate gear for Pirate Night. Fun and relaxation await, Jeannine - cruising is definitely a Different Way to do Disney!
